Job Description

Trading Assistant, Associate

Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BXMA) manages $109 billion across a diversified set of businesses. We strive to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our clients across market cycles. Our strategies include Absolute Return, Multi-Strategy, Total Portfolio Management, and Public Real Assets.

We are seeking a highly motivated Trading Assistant to support a fast-paced investment team across trade execution, portfolio management, market monitoring, and operational workflows.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience on the buy side, strong market awareness across asset classes, and experience operating with precision under pressure.

This role sits directly alongside portfolio managers and traders, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. The candidate should be comfortable handling time-sensitive tasks, coordinating across operations and compliance teams, and contributing to investment processes in a dynamic trading environment.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with trade booking, allocation, reconciliation, and settlement coordination.
  • Maintaining and updating internal risk, P&L, and position reports.
  • Ensuring trade compliance with internal mandates and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating with brokers, custodians, operations, and middle-office teams to resolve breaks and operational issues.
  • Preparing pre-trade and post-trade analytics, including liquidity, exposure, and performance analysis.
  • Support the maintenance of trading models, dashboards, and market-monitoring tools.
  • Contributing to technology led process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
  • Supporting ad hoc research and market analysis for investment teams.

The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, by Blackstone in its sole discretion.

Expected annual base salary range: $110,000 - $160,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
